72 Hours with 100%

Yes, in what can be described as some sort of Backup Exec miracle, it has managed to run for 72 hours with 100% of jobs completing successfully across multiple servers via CASO. Only took 5 years of fiddling to get it to run smoothly for a bit, what a result.

I still really don't like Backup Exec much.

Out of curiousity have you tried upgrading to 2010 R2? I'm managing a CASO environment with 9 managed servers running a distributed catalog model (not centralized) and have encountered most of the troubles you have, along with some of the entertaining calls to tech support (if they can be called that).

Just wondering if you're still stuck on 12.5 or 2010 R2...

Neither, the CASO installation is still on 10d - it backs up 2003 only boxes, so there's no reason at all to upgrade.

We have a 12 installation too, and it's also trouble.

Shortly, I suspect we'll be ditching Backup Exec entirely because it really is awful.
